Okay, so since I've had troubles uploading audio from The Killers before, I figured it might be better suited for a blog post. On the March 6th version of Matt's Gamut, I went through this list live. 10. The Man
It was one of my favorite songs too, and apparently so was it for most people! This song smashed in 2017, and remains a classic Killers mix with a perfect funk mix

9. Battle Born
The closing track to the Battle Born album, a perfect summary and thesis to the beautiful album before it. I'm a sucker for the album closers on each of The Killers albums, and this gorgeous track is no exception!

8. Tyson vs. Douglass
Definitely love the theme of this song, as well as the build up. My favorite songs from The Killers build up over the song before spilling out in the midsection before dramatically falling away.

7. Be Still
The penultimate track from Battle Born, and the song which leads into the title track, this beautiful song appears to be a favorite in their band who included it in their Greatest Hits even though the song was not a single.

6. Midnight Show
The song is close to the end on Hot Fuss and appears to be the 'middle' of the Murder Trilogy of songs depicting the murder of Jenny. (Yeah, it's a crazy little story in their discography!) I love that powerful chorus of "drive faster boy" as well. 

5. The World We Live In 
Arguably my favorite song from The Killers between 2008-2012. I love the synthpop, the lyricism and the trance effect. The experimentalism works very well for the band, especially in the concept of the song. Favorite lyric: Well maybe I was mistaken, I heard a rumor that you quit this day and age.

4. Andy You're A Star
I love the sarcasm in this song, especially due to Flowers' lyrics aimed at a high school bully who ended up as a reject. The band's pure cynicism in this track is aided by delicious guitar and bass lines. You gotta wonder how Andy feels about all of this, especially because of the rumored romanticism of the lyrics! Favorite lyric: In a car with a girl, promise me she's not your world

3. Spaceman
This was actually the song that got me hooked on The Killers! An long since extinct alternative station in Cleveland used to play this song on rotation all of the time. Definitely my favorite track from Day and Age, which is also my favorite album. Still upset that 'Human' ends up being a smudge more rememberable from the synth-wave era of Day and Age. Favorite lyric: The spaceman says, 'everybody look down, it's all in your mind'

2. When You Were Young
Yeah, I get it. Somebody Told Me and Mr. Brightside are the clear 'fill up the dance floor tracks', but this is clearly the song you want to rock out on with your fake guitar. This song is an absolute smash even with it's unique and rather 'non-radio friendly' construction. A clear classic in my opinion. Favorite lyric: We're burning down the highway skyline, on the back of a hurricane that started turning, when you were young

1. Miss Atomic Bomb
My favorite song, the second single off Battle Born WHICH DESERVED MORE! JUSTICE FOR THIS TRACK! Where was the airplay for this magnificent heartland rock/wild west/cinematic new wave masterpiece? Ever since hearing it in 2012, this has been my reigning #1, a forever underdog lost under the other highlights of their discography. The song is interestingly described as a continuation of Mr. Brightside. Favorite lyric: Making out we've got the radio on, you're going to miss me when I'm gone
