One of my favorite disco cuts, very slinky and shimmering with 70s club charm.

The production on this song is fantastic, especially the breakdown in the middle.

The lyricism about heroin disguised as a trip through the desert...it gets me every time!

#15: elton john - tiny dancer

My favorite from Elton, there's something about the piano guiding this track that is quite legendary

#14: roberta flack - killing me softly with his song

The chorus alone puts this song on the list, the additional production and voice gives it the advantage.

My favorite Bowie song, an underrated cut with Ziggy Stardust vibes

Not my absolute favorite, but to deny this song a place on this list would be blasphemy.

Talk about a song that just gets you grooving! That disco-rock vibe just won't quit.

My favorite Fleetwood song, the spiritual nature of the track never fails to move me.

A cult classic. A classic in general. A song stepped in culture. A definite win.

I love a good political romp, and on the edge of 1979 this timely song really woke the world up with it's bass beat and heated lyrics.

#6: earth, wind and fire - september

A wedding/disco/personal favorite, all other months seem to become lame after hearing this one.

#5: the beegees - more than a woman

There's plenty of BeeGees tracks that could have been on this list, but my bias has this track on here. Granted, not as much of a legacy as some of these other tracks.

This song is one of my favorites throughout era and genre, the tremendous production and killer chorus keeps it as a 'turn up the dial and keep it running' track.

One of my elite favorites and definitely my favorite on this list. I don't even know where to begin...so I'll just end it by saying this song has EVERYTHING.
